    The fifth edition of Anatomia e Tecnica Chirurgica represents an important evolution compared to previous editions, with the addition of new color illustrations and new chapters. The color drawings allow younger readers, as well as more experienced ones, to better follow the technique and better understand the anatomy. In the chapter on hernias and the abdominal wall, the section on operative strategies has been updated and techniques that had only historical interest have been removed. The new color drawings clarify much more effectively the technique of the \u201ctransversus abdominis muscle release\u201d (TAR).<\/p>\n

    This book continues its tradition: providing both the novice and the experienced clinician with a concise, accessible and abundantly illustrated update. It contains revised chapters and dozens of new, excellent color illustrations that make it much easier to follow the technique and better appreciate the anatomy. The fifth edition now includes robotic techniques for each relevant chapter. All existing chapters have been updated to reflect currently used surgical approaches and instrumentation and include a section on anatomical complications. Three new chapters have also been added \u2013 on sports hernia, ablative techniques for venous pathology, and kidney and adrenal gland \u2013 to help surgeons learn more about these structures.<\/p>\n
