Atlante di Chirurgia delle Lesioni Traumatiche della Caviglia e del Piede

Large-format volume (21.5 × 28 cm), 144 pages, featuring numerous original full-color illustrations. Hardcover with full-color laminated cover.

The aim of this volume is to systematize and rationally summarize more than fifteen years of professional activity carried out in the highly specialized field of foot and ankle traumatology, within a particularly favorable environment such as the Orthopaedic Trauma Center of Turin.

Thanks to the opportunity to work in such a setting, it was possible to acquire, in some respects, unique experience, which has been translated into operative guidelines. These are presented without the presumption of representing the only possible approach, but with the confidence that they have been extensively tested over time and with the hope that they may serve as a valuable aid to surgeons dealing with this demanding branch of orthopaedic surgery.

In the digital era, it was not conceivable to refer to traditional printed publishing without a clear objective: to provide surgeons approaching these topics with iconographic support aimed at facilitating understanding and simplifying complex issues. This led to the decision to create not a textbook, but an atlas, rich above all in didactic illustrations.

The main effort made together with the illustrators was to translate the surgical message into visual form, using color to represent what the surgeon sees in the operative field and, above all, transparency to define what lies in close proximity to the field but is not directly visible, yet must be well known in order to ensure optimal surgical strategy planning and execution.
